There are only two kinds

The ones on the right side and the ones on the wrong side.

good vs bad

And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

I read an interview recently, it was Chris Hedges talking with Roger Waters (singer and song writer with Pink Floyd who has actively amplified the voices of the oppressed)

Here are some excerpts I selected from what Roger Walters was saying in that podcast...

I want to live in a world where my children can go to school and we can talk to one another and maybe go for a swim in the river. That’s the world that I want, where we look after one another and we look after the weakest amongst us and so on and so forth....

Instead of stealing from them and spending all the money on weapons so that we can kill people.

We have the potential to actually move into a future where we believe in love and truth and we look after one another and we refuse to murder one another. That’s absolutely completely verboten in our brave new world.

... but they’re not, they believe in, no, no, no, let’s murder everybody. Let’s starve children to death because we can make money. And that’s all they care about is making a profit. And it’s enshrined sadly in American law. The only responsibility that the corporations have is to maximize the bottom line of the profits for their shareholders. It’s capitalism at work. And capitalism could not be less interested in ordinary people, in you....

Ordinary people, they can tell the difference between love and hate. I know they can. I get emotional even talking about it.

You can hand love and truth down to the next generation. And your primary responsibility in life is to do exactly that and to not give in to the monsters... of this world.

That reminds me of what Jesus said in Matthew 6:24, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

I know a lot of people who go to church claim to be serving God, not necessarily so, many of them don't love their neighbor as they love themselves.

So bottom line, when the chips are down there are really only two kinds of people. The ones who believe in love and try to live it, or the ones who are only thinking about themselves.

Like in the parable of the wheat and the tares. Matthew 13:30

Another question arises when we look into the future and specifically regarding artificial intelligence. It is my understanding that AI draws it's conclusions or decisions from the accumulated information stored in a database, and that information is supplied by humans.

There are idealistic and independent actors who are trying to create AI databases filled with benevolent and altruistic information, hoping that it can result in benevolent and altruistic AI generated output.

That is all well and good, but I am afraid they don't stand a chance against big tech's profit driven input, not to speak of what the industrial military complex supply to the accumulated knowledge.

Those of us who interpret bible prophecy as to the rise of the Anti-Christ and the image of the Beast foresee that the wrong side will come up on top.

So what are we to do?

I hope we will continue to choose to serve God and serve our neighbor, humanity, brotherly love and care, while the rest of the mammon worshiping world will go on chasing their false god that leads to destruction.

PS: I had just finished writing this blog post when Nadia posted a very appropiate piece, "Fools and Their Barns". She really know how to put skin on the parables.
